THE PSNI says it has uncovered a “sophisticated cannabis factory” in Lisburn, Co Antrim.

Cannabis plants with a street value of over £63,000 and cultivation equipment were seized at Iniscarn Close, Knockmore on Monday afternoon during a planned search.

Lisburn PSNI commander Chief Inspector Darrin Jones said: “Information provided by local people can help us to identify properties were drugs activity may be taking place and carry out searches.

“It can also help us track down those involved in drugs distribution in the local area and assist in building up sufficient evidence to shut down their activities and take them off the streets,” he added.

“I continue to urge local people to bring any concerns they have about drugs, drug dealing or any other issue to us.”

Anyone who has information about a cannabis factory can ring the PSNI on 0845 600 8000
