THE PSNI are probing reports that a suspect device exploded at a house in east Belfast on Wednesday night.
Army bomb experts are at the scene of the blast at the home in Kennilworth Place property which is just off the lower Newtownards Road.
Fortunately, no one was in the house at the time and there were no reports of injuries.
As a result of the blast, A number of homes have been evacuated and Ballymacarrett Youth Centrw has been made available to residents.
Part of the lower Newtownards Road has been closed to traffic between Bridgend and Templemore Avenue.
