John O’Down with the Hip Hop crew at Doyle Youth Club, Short Strand

EDUCATION Miniter John O’Dowd has visited Doyle Youth Club in the Short Strand district of east Belfast where he met with the newly formed Youth Forum.

The centre provides youth service activities for young people five evenings per week and has a reputation for positive cross-community work.

During the visit, the Minister met with children who are members of the Strand Extreme Hip-Hop crew.

He also had the opportunity to view the new 3G pitch which was funded by the Belfast Education and Library Board (BELB).
