Police charge man with east Belfast rape

THE PSNI has charged a 47-year-old man with sexual offences over an incident in east Belfast over two years ago.

Detectives from PSNI’s Rape Crime Unit have charged the man with rape, sexual assault and false imprisonment.

He is due to appear at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court on February, Tuesday 12.

The charges relate to an incident in the Castlereagh area in August 2010.
