DETECTIVES investigating a riot at Denmarks Street in north Belfast last September have formally charged a man in connection with the public disorder.
Trouble erupted after loyalists gathered to protest at a republican march in the area on Sunday, September 2.
The 27-year-old man is accused of riotous assembly and is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court later on Thursday.
The charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
