POLICE are investigating a house break-in over the festive season.

A house in Cranmore Road in south Belfast was burgled on Thursday, December 27 between 3.30pm and 7.30pm.

As a result, police in Stranmillis have carried out a leaflet drop in the area seeking anyone within information about the break-in to get in touch on 0845 600 8000.

The PSNI said its messages to motorists about not leaving valuables in their cars is still not driving home.

In particular, five motorists parked in the Stranmillis area will be receiving letters in the post telling them not to leave valuables on show for thieves after police carried out spot checks on cars.
