POLICE have launched probes after two shops were held up and robbed and a man mugged in south Belfast.
Three masked men, one armed with a knife, robbed a sandwich shop in the Upper Lisburn road area at around 6.30pm on Sunday.
The robbers escaped with a sum of money and staff were left badly shaken but unhurt.
Police have appealed for information about a small white care in the area.
In a separate incident, a sandwich shop was later robbed in the Stranmillis Road area by a man armed with a gun.
The robber, disguised as a workman with a hat and high viz jacket, stole cash from the till and fled on foot.
In a third incident, a 26-year-old man was robbed around 9.50 pm in the University Avenue area.
He was taking a short cut through an alley way when two male suspects, who claimed to have a gun and a knife, threatened to stab him and made off with a sum of money from his wallet.
