Police attacked with missiels in Ballymena

A FAMILY have been left devastated after a father and daughter were killed in a serious road accident.

Colin and Hannah Doherty from the Castledawson area died following the accident involving a car and a lorry on the Moneymore Road, Co Derry/Londonderry on Thursday night.

Two others were injured in the collision which happened around 10.40pm

Hannah was a rising a 15-year-old star who wanted to be a journalist and was writing for a local magazine.

The Moneymore Road has since reopened after being closed overnight which an investigation of the scene was carried out.

Police have asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident involving a white car and a red cattle lorry to come forward.
