Workmen help to unload City Hall Christmas tree

IT was all hands to the stump this morning at the back gate to Belfast City Hall.

Workmen, in yellow jackets and hard hats, helped to unload the tree with the help of a crane.

It will be put up in the rear of the City Hall grounds ahead of the big Christmas light switch on tomorrow evening.

Thousands of people are expected to turn up for the show as the council starts its countdown to Christmas.

The annual Christmas continental markets opens for business at 12 noon on Saturday.
