Police are hunting two men who tied up a man and stole a large amount of cash in east Belfast

POLICE are hunting robbers who tied up a man and made off with a large amount of cash during a robbery in east Belfast at the weekend. 

The victim was confronted by two men in a car park in the Connswater area at around 7.30pm last night.

They forced him back into the shop and made him open the safe and tied him up before making off with a substantial sum of cash.

The employee was left badly shaken but was not badly injured.

The robbers were dressed in dark clothing and had their faces disguised with scarves.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the Connswater area yesterday evening has been asked to contact police.
